RÄSCHGINI

The participatory art project Räschgini invites the public to actively participate in the creation of a textile work. Each participant gets a package with the necessary materials delivered to his or her home and together we transform Valais Blacknose sheep wool into pieces of felt and exchange ideas about traditional local crafts and their connection to art. Each in his own home, connected via video instructions.

The participants can then send a picture of the resulting textile to the artist and hang up the work in their homes as a souvenir of the experience. In the future, the individual works may also come together physically, as an installation.

Please register at raeschgini@gmail.com with the address (within Switzerland) for delivery of the material by 15 November, the video tutorial is planned for Sunday 22 November in the afternoon. The number of participants is limited.
